Things to do:

The position of the “Hut” will encourage you to move outside to watch the elements – the weather closing in from the west, the sunsets or just the panoramic views.

Stroll from the “Hut” to nearby creeks and walking tracks where you hear and see the birdlife, wombats (at dawn or dusk) and the occasional fox, hare or wallaby. Kangaroos may be seen in some paddocks. A mud map is there for your assistance – walks are easy.

A "Farm Stay" experience is available with the option to watch or join in farm activities with the sheep and cattle during your stay.

Local Attractions:

If you travel further afield the city of Bathurst is 13kms to the west and O’Connell with its Pub and café is close by as are “Mayfield Gardens”, Rockley, Hill End and Sofala.

The "Hut” provides an ideal break for people with many and varied interests:

• A peaceful few days in comfort and natural surrounds
• A walker’s delight
• Stargazing through our telescope into the clear nights
• Animal spotting and bird watching
• Artists
• Sewers and quilters
• Mt Panorama / car enthusiasts
• Local history enthusiasts
• By arrangement, horse owners/riders.
